Doug joined Merganser in 1986 and is the chairman. Before assuming his current duties, Doug served as chief executive officer. His previous roles also include president, chief investment officer, product leader for our shorter duration strategies, and ABS sector team leader.
Prior to joining Merganser, Doug’s experience included positions with American Can and Exxon Corporation. At American Can, Doug’s primary role was Director, Pension Investments where he had responsibility for determining investment objectives, setting asset mix guidelines, reviewing actuarial assumptions and monitoring and controlling the investment program to ensure achievement of objectives. This involved the oversight of over $1 billion in pension and profit sharing plan assets, including in-house management of a $250 million fixed income portfolio.
Doug holds the Chartered Financial Analyst designation and is a member of the CFA Institute and the CFA Society Boston. He has previously served as a member of the Investment Issues Committee of the Association of Private Pension and Welfare Plans and was a member of Pension Group East.

Andy joined Merganser in 2003 and serves as chief executive officer and chief investment officer. Andy is also the product team leader for our longer-duration strategies, including Core and Intermediate Bond, with oversight of all product strategies. Earlier in his career at Merganser, Andy focused on researching and trading both residential and commercial mortgage backed securities.
Prior to joining Merganser, Andy was a management consultant with the boutique consulting firm Sibson Consulting Group. His primary clients were Fortune 500 companies in both the financial services and the telecommunication industries.
Andy holds the Chartered Financial Analyst designation and is a member of the CFA Institute and the CFA Society Boston.

Peter joined Merganser in 1986 and is the head of our structured products team. He is a portfolio manager for our shorter duration strategies and also serves as the lead for our Cash Enhancement product.
Prior to joining Merganser, Peter worked for SEI Corporation and managed the design, development and implementation of investment accounting systems. Prior to SEI Corporation, Peter worked at Interactive Data Corporation, where he developed investment applications for institutional investment managers.

Jennifer joined the firm in 2000 and is a portfolio manager for our shorter duration strategies. She also serves as the lead for our Short Term product.
Prior to joining Merganser, Jennifer worked at Camp Dresser & McKee as a Water Resources Engineer. She began her career with American National Bank and Trust Company where she served as portfolio manager on Lehman Aggregate-indexed funds. In this role, she was also responsible for trading government, corporate, mortgage backed, and asset backed securities.

Adam joined Merganser in 2007 and is the head of credit research.
Prior to joining Merganser, Adam worked in fixed income research at Loomis, Sayles & Co., covering the telecom, consumer products and food/beverage industries across the grade. Prior to Loomis, he was in the Aircraft Finance group at Mitsubishi Trust, specializing in collateralized lending to airlines and aerospace clients. Earlier in his career, Adam was an Equity Analyst at Value Line and a Research Assistant at CRT Capital.

David joined Merganser in 2016 as a senior member of our structured investment team, leading our private label and agency CMBS strategies as well as serving as a research analyst.
Prior to joining the firm, David held senior positions in portfolio management and research analysis in the commercial real estate sector, including the CMBS and REIT subsectors, at Amherst Capital and Standish. Earlier in his career, David worked in acquisitions for Berkshire Property Advisors and was a CMBS analyst at Charter Research/Standard & Poor’s.

Todd joined Merganser in 2013 and is a research analyst working with the credit sector team
Prior to joining Merganser, Todd worked as a Portfolio Analyst at Galliard Capital Management focused on stable value portfolio management and new product development. Prior to Galliard, he worked in the US Corporate Banking group at Wells Fargo as an analyst covering a variety of high grade and high yield credits.

Mu joined Merganser in 2015 and is a research analyst working with the credit sector team.
Prior to joining Merganser, Mu worked as a trader in the trading and analytics group at Liberty Mutual Investments with a focus on consumer products and banks. In addition to Liberty, he previously worked as a research analyst covering investment grade and high yield consumer cyclical credits at Opus Investment Management.

Ben joined Merganser in 2015 and is an associate working with the structured sector team. Before transitioning to his current role, Ben oversaw cash and liquidity management for the investment team. He has also been involved in the trading operations process by implementing new systems for third-party trade communication.
After graduating from Ithaca College, Ben worked on a team of financial advisors at Northwestern Mutual’s wealth management branch. Prior to joining Merganser, Ben worked on a buy-side trading desk for a quantitative ETF strategist.
Ben is currently a level III candidate in the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) program.

Jenn joined Merganser Capital Management in 2015. She oversees cash and liquidity management for the investment team. Before transitioning to her current role with the Investment team in 2017, Jenn worked as a Relationship Management Associate on Merganser’s Client Service team.
Prior to joining Merganser, Jenn worked on the Investment Advisory and Analytics team at BNY Mellon Wealth Management in Boston. She began her professional career working as a Portfolio Analyst on a private wealth team at BNY Mellon.
Jenn is currently a level II candidate in the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) program.

John first joined Merganser Capital Management in 2006 and is responsible for leading our overall relationship management activities.
John has extensive experience in both the institutional asset management industry and in the technology sector. John began his career in 1984 at EMC Corporation, then a small high tech start up. His work has been focused on marketing, sales, client service and management positions. Before joining Merganser, John held leadership positions at both Standish Mellon and The Boston Company Asset Management.
John is also an Adjunct Professor in the Carroll School of Management at Boston College.
Mike first joined Merganser in 2011 and focuses on Consultant Relations and Relationship Management..
Mike has extensive industry experience including research and trading, relationship management and most recently product management while at Bain Capital. In his prior roles at Merganser, Mike has held a number of leadership positions including structured products Research Analyst and Relationship Manager. He began his professional career at UBS in New York.

Nancy joined Merganser in 2011 and is responsible for Consultant Relations and Relationship Management.
Nancy has over 25 years in the financial services industry developing relationships with institutional clients and consultants. She worked for UCM Partners as Head of Business Development and also served as a Director at Channel Capital Management. Her experience includes leadership positions at InvestorForce, and in Institutional Fixed Income Sales roles at Barclays Capital, Kidder Peabody and Lehman Brothers. Nancy began her career at JP Morgan.

Jeff joined Merganser Capital Management in 2013 and focuses on Relationship Management.
Prior to joining Merganser, Jeff worked in investment operations at Cambridge Associates. There he served as the primary point of contact for institutional clients as they rebalanced their investment programs, coordinating communication and transaction execution between clients, consultants, investment managers and custodian banks. He began his professional career at State Street Corporation.
Jeff is currently a level II candidate in the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) program.

Jeff joined Merganser in 2004 and is responsible for directing and monitoring the firm’s overall compliance program. In addition, Jeff and his team are also responsible for leading our firm's efforts in portfolio accounting and reporting, strategic systems planning including application design, implementation and training.
Prior to joining Merganser, Jeff spent over 19 years in the securities industry. His experience includes systems consulting with Olmstead Associates and PricewaterhouseCoopers. In addition, Jeff spent many years with First Data Investor Service Group, Inc. and The Boston Company in a number of systems and operations roles.
Jeff is registered as a patented inventor of a securities industry trade matching utility.

Rich joined Merganser in 2000 and is responsible for directing and monitoring the firm’s portfolio accounting and reporting program and trade operations department. In addition, Rich is responsible for the firm’s GIPS® compliance program.
Before joining Merganser, Rich spent 15 years in various operational roles in the specialty retail industry.

Mark joined Merganser in 2005 and is responsible for strategic technology planning and execution.
After graduating from Boston College, Mark was hired by Merganser in our technology, systems and infrastructure group where he ultimately took on a leadership role. After receiving his Masters in Finance he transitioned to the investment team in 2013 to apply his analytical and technical skills to our investment process. In 2016, Mark returned to the technology group, assuming the role of CTO where he is responsible for all aspects of Merganser’s technology platform, including network infrastructure, application design and implementation.
